In 2020, he launched his solo career with Reflexión, quickly gaining strong radio play and digital success in both Mexico and the United States.
Since then, El Flaco has released numerous hits that have become staples of modern banda, including El Que Te Amó, El Tiempo No Perdona, Para Ti Papá, and Ni Que Valieras Tanto. Collectively, his videos have reached nearly one billion views on YouTube.
In 2022, his singles Y Si Se Quiere Ir and Don Julio 70 climbed to the top of Billboard and Monitor Latino charts. The following year, he signed with Sony Music México and released Yo Te Extrañaré (2024), earning his first Latin Grammy nomination for Best Banda Album. He continued his success with Amor Borrachito, a number one radio hit in Mexico, and Vuelve a Mí, which topped Billboard in 2025. These tracks were part of his anniversary album 25 Aniversario, which celebrated his career with high-profile collaborations and a sold-out show at the Auditorio Nacional.
Beyond music, El Flaco has also made his mark as an entrepreneur, opening the restaurant De Alcurnia and the barber shop Grandes Ligas in Mazatlán, both popular spots in his hometown.
