El Yaki (Luis Alfonso Partida Cisneros) was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, on November 16, 1989. His nickname came from childhood karate classes, where friends called him “Jackie Chan,” eventually shortened to “Yaki.” By his mid twenties he already had a decade of experience as a singer and had earned the admiration of audiences throughout Mexico.

He began singing in school groups before joining Banda Almas de Sinaloa at the age of 14, where he recorded his first album. His big break came when he became one of the vocalists for the legendary Banda El Recodo, performing major hits like Te Presumo, Me Gusta Todo de Ti, Te Quiero a Morir, and Lo Mejor de Mi Vida.

After recovering from vocal surgery in 2011, El Yaki returned to music as a solo artist, launching a new chapter of his career and winning back fans who had been eager for his return. With a powerful voice and heartfelt performances, he has established himself as one of the leading voices in Regional Mexican music.
