banda carnaval
Born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Banda Carnaval emerged as a fresh force in the Regional Mexican genre. Composed of talented young musicians, the band embodies the passion, joy, and determination that define their roots. Their name pays tribute to the iconic Mazatlán Carnival, an annual celebration known worldwide for its energy and tradition, and that festive spirit is present in every note they play.
Banda Carnaval’s journey began in 2008 with the release of Aquí Estamos, which delivered their breakout hit Pídeme. The success of this romantic single propelled the band onto the national charts and established their place among Mexico’s rising stars. A year later, Corridos y Rancheras showcased their authentic sound and added Por Creer Que Me Amabas to their growing list of hits.
In 2010, after signing with Disa Universal, the band released El Número Uno, highlighted by Cuando Los Huaraches se Acaban and El Mentiroso, two tracks that became staples on Mexican radio. By 2012, Banda Carnaval had secured their reputation as one of Mexico’s leading bands with Máximo Nivel, featuring songs written by Edén Muñoz. The album produced the hit Lo Que Pienso de Ti and marked their breakthrough into the United States market. That same year, their collaboration with Calibre 50 on Gente Batallosa was named “Most Played Song of the Year.”
The momentum continued with Las Vueltas de la Vida in 2013, an album that made history by landing two songs simultaneously at number one on Monitor Latino and Billboard charts. Y Te Vas and La Doble Cara remained at the top for over six consecutive weeks. Later that year, the release of Puros Corridos and its standout track El Magnate further solidified their versatility and reach.
What truly sets Banda Carnaval apart is their unity and consistency. Nearly all of the original members remain in the lineup, creating not just a band but a family. Their grounded attitude, tireless work ethic, and youthful energy have earned them record-breaking audiences, industry awards, and above all a lasting place in the hearts of fans in Mexico, the United States, and beyond.
